One Hour Flying Lesson in Gloucestershire 10423792

An xmas present from the Mrs! Staff at Clifton Aviation are very friendly and knowledgeable and happy to chat about flying & answer all my questions etc. Once up in the air I was excited if a little nervous to actually take control of a real aircraft for the first time! Beautiful sunny day so got to also enjoy the scenery and do some basic maneuvers and operate the various controls. You can also have a video of the flight to take home which is a nice touch.

Well worth the money, had the full hour in the air with a very experienced flight instructor.

It was a great experience, and Clifton Aviation were brilliant. I have nothing negative to say about it. Took my wife up with me & had a video of the time in the plane. I would love to it it again.

I was given this as gift from my other half for my 33 birthday. As soon I stepped into the office I was greated by a friendly lady who was very helpful who set me up on the breifing video after that I met with the Instructor who was very friendly and calm through out the whole 60 minute lesson. John explained everything very well and before I knew it I was in controll for the whole time we were in the air except for take off and landing ofcourse. After landing the lady in the office took me back to the plane and took some pictures of me with the plane I had just flew. There was no pressure to upgrade to the modern plane or to pay for any extras its was just simple and super friendly atmosphare the whole time I was there 100% would reconmend to a friend and now seriously looking in to doing my licence!

This was a very special present bought by my family. Very easy to book - extremely nice lady in the office to deal with. I was told to ring the day before because of the weather and the chap was very vague despite forecasts so I didn't know I was flying until I got there. Quite understandable but he wouldn't commit even on the morning whereas I'd have preferred a No and to rebook. We did get up in the end. The pilot was quite pedantic and treated me slightly like an idiot. I had to review the experience there under his nose so obviously had to give it 5 stars. However, we had to upgrade as it was imorssed upon us from the outset that they had a much better plane - that was £50 - and it did look much better but why not have that as the package from the outset? And my partner accompanying us cost an additional £45 though to be fair we did know about this. What is an hour's lesson turned into nearly 3 hours. I was a little bit fed up by the end of it. Then you have to complete the questionnaire at the end with him breathing down your neck. My partner had had enough and didn't even come into the office! So I wasn't able to give a true account. A wearying experience I'm afraid.
