Afternoon Tea for Two at Holt Hotel 10773996

We had an excellent tea. I was very impressed with my gluten free tea which was very tasty. The hotel were very accommodating preparing one gluten free tea and one standard afternoon tea. All the staff were caring but unobtrusive. The lounge with high back chairs was very comfortable and a good environment to spend a pleasant afternoon.

Afternoon tea for two

From arriving at the hotel we were greeted with a smile & felt at home in a lovely furnished room which was already set up for our afternoon tea. All of the staff were so accommodating & spending my Daughters birthday enjoying this treat together made her day very special. Definitely recommend anyone wanting to get together with friends & family having food here as cakes were so fresh & tasty.

The hotel was lovely with very understanding staff, as we'd forgotten to bring our voucher. We arranged to scan this to them later. The sandwiches were quite run of the mill with nothing outstanding about them. The cakes were delicious though with lovely warm scones as well as 3 large portions of very rich cake each. All washed down with copious cups of tea. All in all a nice way to spend an afternoon on our way through to Stratford upon Avon for jubilee weekend.

Location was great and staff were very friendly. However, tea and coffee options were very limited - only filtered coffee and basic tea on offer. No alcohol offered despite it being a "sparking" afternoon tea. We were surprised to find only one very small portion of jam and cream which was not enough for two scones. The scones were lovely though and very warm. We were disappointed that there was only one cake served with the afternoon tea - we expected to be given a selection of small cakes as per the picture on the page when booking. Staff were attentive and hotel is gorgeous but sadly would not recommend this to anyone.

At best an average afternoon tea and definitely not sparkling! The tea was limited and we only had a small cup and a half each; and there was no prosecco. The food was ok but definitely not as described or seen in the pictures. The scones were nice but only served with a small portion of cream and jam, so a stretch to serve two. Unfortunately not value for money and we both left very disappointed as this was gift.

The Holt fitted us in with very short notice and produced a lovely afternoon tea in pretty tranquil surroundings.

Afternoon tea was so lovely and service was ok! Was going to stay for a drink the bar after but no one came over to service us.
