Have you ever dreamt of becoming a zookeeper? Now’s your chance to see what it’s really like with this zookeeper experience for two at Hobbledown Epsom. Get ready to muck in with hands-on activities and learn all about the lives of the zoo animals. Start off by feeding the livestock, collecting and distributing hay for them to graze on. Then you’ll get to prepare lunch for the coatis, meerkats and otters, finding out about their dietary requirements and going behind the scenes where the food is made, before it’s time to meet these friendly creatures. Get up close with the coatis and otters, and either the meerkats, lemurs or small furries. Get mucky with some cleaning and then enjoy a VIP zoo tour where you’ll get to meet the rest of the animals, learn about how they’re cared for, help with feeding, and even meet one of the reptiles. It’s the perfect day out for any animal lover!

- Available Friday–Monday, year round, excluding Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day and the February, May and October half terms
- This experience runs from 10am–1pm
- Minimum age: 10 years
- This experience can accommodate a maximum of two people per time slot
- Participants should be physically fit enough to do manual work
- Please bring wellies
- Please inform the supplier of any allergies at the point of booking, as there may be allergens present during feeding and feed preparation
- Unfortunately, this experience is not suitable for disabled people, people with learning difficulties, pregnant people or people with immune suppressant illnesses
