Enjoyable evening

I went to this restaurant with my sister as a bit of a treat. The staff were very pleasant and attentive. We were given a limited menu due to the fact we were using a voucher. The food that I ordered was really good, I had the beetroot salad, hake for main and passionfruit cheesecake My sister however wasn't so lucky... she didn't like any of the starters which was a shame so was given the option to order a side instead. As she was having the fish she ordered some more chips as a starter, and the passionfruit cheesecake as a desert but she doesn't eat passion fruit but didn't like any of the oher options either. She requested it be scapped off but the chef stated he couldn't do that but said she could scrap it off herself if she wished, Abit weird but she said she would do that, she managed to scrap it of without making a mess too so problem solved. The 3 course meal didn't come with a drink but you are given a cold glass of water with ice so that was nice and there are options for soft drinks, wines and spirits also. We were given complimentary bread but I didn't like it nor did my sister it tasted abit stale but that could just be our taste buds. Apart from that a enjoyable evening was had by all.

I took my best friend for lunch using my voucher which was a leaving gift from work, We were given a warm welcomed, the menu was amazing, the food was well presented and cook to perfection. The Ambassador Bloomsbury was relaxing, my friend and I spent 4 hours catching up. Lovely place to spend hours eating and talking.

The food was lovely and the servings were ample. The staff were friendly and attentive. They originally wanted us to chose our three courses from the set menu, but this hadn't been stated on the website. On questioning this they let us select 2 courses from the main menu instead.

From the moment we walked in the atmosphere was relaxed and we felt at ease. The staff were friendly but not overboard. The food was of a very good quality and we were not rushed between coures's, enough time to digest each, We would be happy to return for another sitting.

Very good meal

Although the 'ambience' at the Twelve Restaurant in the Ambassadors is not particularly atmospheric, the standard of food and, particularly the charming service, more than compensates. A very good value gift - we really enjoyed our evening.
