Overview
Are you ready to conquer the wilderness? Master the most tricky of terrains in a powerful 4x4 with this amazing 1 ½ hour motoring experience. The Wright Event is one of the most experienced off-road driving operators in the country and is an accredited member of the British Off-Road Driving Association (BORDA). They provide professional training to numerous commercial organisation’s and individuals wanting to experience 4x4 off-road driving as a leisure activity. With their instructor beside you, they will ensure that you fully enjoy your driving experience as you tackle slopes you wouldn’t believe were possible. Their off-road driving facility provides a challenge for both experienced 4x4 drivers and beginners. This is a fun 4x4 taster session aimed at individuals who have not previously been off-road in a 4x4. This session will provide you with an overview of how the 4x4 works and demonstrate its capabilities. A rough, tough and rugged course will stretch your driving capabilities but you'll be stunned at just what these vehicles can do! There will be ruts, extreme hills, harsh side slopes, gullies and all sorts of challenging obstacles to be overcome. A muddy good day out!
What's included? - Introduction and safety briefing with a fully trained instructor
- All safety equipment necessary
- Approximately 1 ½ hours off road driving experience in a 4x4, this will include approx. 20 minutes where you will be driving the vehicle yourself
What do I need to know? - All our vouchers are fully flexible and can be redeemed against our huge range of experiences
- This experience is available on Saturdays throughout the year
- Minimum age is 16 years
- Minimum height is 1.4 metres
- If in any doubt about your suitability for the experience, please check with the supplier before booking
- Safety and protective equipment, such as waterproofs, are provided
- Please wear comfortable clothing and a pair of trainers that you will not mind getting dirty
- In wet weather a change of clothes is advisable
- There will be a maximum of 3 other participants in the vehicle with you
- This experience will last approximately 1 ½ hours

Instructor who took us out knew his stuff. Short explanation about how 4 wheeled cars drive and I think this was handy as it meant you knew why you were putting levers into difflock etc rather than just being told.
Driving enjoyable - not boy racer which suited me fine. Learnt a lot, weird driving without sometimes using the peddles - long enough to wet your appetite if you want to do more or like me, to have had the experience.
I would recommend to anyone.

My Son got this gift for me and I thought to myself. From my house I would Drive for an hour and a half to get there and "Share" an Hour and a half driving experience and then drive all the way home. Not very excited about that. BUT The half an hour driving I got was superb and even enjoyed the passenger part of the driving as well. I will certainly recommend this experience. Ploughing through the landscape and learning the mechanics of these old 4x4's was brilliant.

This was a gift from my wife to myself and my two sons. It was a great morning out. The instructor was confident, informative and patient. The terrain was challenging enough espeacially for my two sons.

As a driver for some years,cars trucks bikes & agricultural machinery I thought off roading would be easy but there was quite a bit I did not know.after doing the course, & with clear useful instruction I would now be confident taking my own 4x4 on that sort of terrain. Thanks for a great afternoon

I liked the briefing at the start. It was good to learn what these vehicles are capable of and why. The instructors were friendly and approachable. The course was excellent and I had a thoroughly enjoyable time. Great experience!

I had great fun, it was very enjoyable and I always felt safe I knew that the instructors were there to help and point us in the right direction if we needed at no point did I ever feel like I was doing wrong was just gently guided in the right direction.
